Dear New Year 5!

Welcome to the year 5 blog page. We are very excited to have you with us from September! We have many extraordinary things planned for you and this blog is just one of those things.

Please ensure you have your user names and passwords for the blog (please check with your current teacher) so that you can become an active user of our blog. We encourage you to check, use and contribute towards the blog as much as you can.

Don’t forget!

Over the holidays you must ensure that you continue to read regularly at home as well as exercise your brain with mathematical problems. There are many online learning platforms/websites that can help you with this. These include the following:

  • Bug Club
  • Read Theory
  • Mathletics (you should all start familiarizing yourselves with this site now)
  • My Maths

Summer Blog Challenge

To accompany the KS2 summer holiday homework we would like you to complete a challenge for the year 5 blog too!

When you are out visiting the UK’s iconic landmarks, make sure you capture a picture of the landmark including yourself in the picture. Think of a good caption to go with the picture!
